EITC Awareness Day is an event organized by the IRS and its partners to educate the public about the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) and requirements to claim the credit.  The goal of this grassroots effort is to raise awareness of EITC to ensure every qualified worker claims and receives their EITC. 

EITC could put up to $5,751 into the pockets of eligible taxpayers making this a potentially life-changing tax credit.  EITC is a financial boost for working people in a recovering economy.  But, taxpayers must file and claim the credit to receive it.  And, that all begins with awareness of EITC.
